Six pillars of the KiboERP BI Analytics module

The KiboERP BI Analytics module is built on six core capabilities designed for SMB leadership teams: decision-makers who need fast answers, not two-week training courses on an external tool.

Configurable dashboardsDrag and drop your KPIs, choose your charts, save views by role. Zero code required.
Cross-module consolidated viewsPOS, CRM, Accounting, Inventory and HR in one single dashboard. No more manual exports.
Diverse chart typesLine, bar, donut, funnel — match each visualisation to the nature of the data.
CSV & PDF exportsShare your reports in one click with auditors, investors or banking partners.
Threshold alertsSet critical thresholds (min stock, margin target, max churn rate) and receive automatic alerts.
Sector benchmarksCompare your performance against SMBs in your sector. Contextualise results, identify gaps.

Configurable dashboards: your executive cockpit

A good business intelligence software does not force users to adapt to a rigid interface. The KiboERP BI Analytics module works on the opposite principle: the dashboard adapts to your organisation, not the other way around.

True drag & drop

Every widget — numeric KPI, time series chart, distribution donut, comparison table — is draggable and resizable. You compose your dashboard like a page, in minutes, without any IT involvement.

Business-specific customisable KPIs

  • Daily / weekly / monthly revenue
  • Real-time gross margin and EBITDA
  • CRM pipeline conversion rate
  • Inventory turnover and stock valuation
  • Payroll and cost per employee
  • MRR, ARR, churn and LTV for SaaS models

Role-based sharing (RBAC)

Thanks to KiboERP's role management system, each profile sees only the KPIs relevant to their function. The CFO accesses financial indicators, the HR Director sees HR data, the retail manager gets POS and inventory performance — without any cross-visibility.

Unified data: stop juggling between tools

The promise of a unified SMB KPI dashboard is only kept when data comes from a single source. With KiboERP, POS, CRM, Accounting, Inventory and HR share the same database. There is no ETL, no manual export and no nightly sync to monitor.

This unification is especially valuable for multi-site businesses or groups with several entities: the BI module consolidates data from all active modules into an aggregated view with no duplication.

Financial reporting: SaaS and traditional SMBs

Financial reporting is at the heart of any serious financial reporting software. KiboERP covers two distinct realities:

SaaS and subscription models

  • MRR (Monthly Recurring Revenue) — monthly recurring revenue, tracking evolution and net growth
  • ARR (Annual Recurring Revenue) — annualised projection for investment decisions
  • Churn rate — monthly attrition rate and retention cohorts
  • LTV (Lifetime Value) — customer lifetime value, crossed with CAC

Traditional SMBs (retail, distribution, services)

  • Cash flow forecasting over 30, 60 and 90 days
  • Gross margin by product, category and channel
  • Monthly EBITDA with year-on-year comparison
  • Accounting balance synchronised with the Accounting module

All reports are exportable to PDF for audits, shareholder presentations and bank financing applications.

Sales analytics: from the till to strategy

Commercial performance is driven by precise data, not impressions. The BI Analytics module drills down to the transaction level to surface the insights that really matter.

Key KPIs

  • Average basket — overall, by channel (POS, e-commerce, CRM), by salesperson
  • Conversion rate — from CRM lead to order, with interactive funnel
  • Top products — by volume, by margin, by repurchase frequency
  • Top salespeople — ranked by revenue, margin and target attainment
  • Geo-analysis — sales heat map by region, city or point of sale

Use cases by profile

CFO — Chief Financial Officer

Daily cash flow monitoring, monthly MRR/EBITDA reporting, alerts when a margin drops below target. PDF exports for the board. Direct link to the Accounting module for reconciliation.

HR Director

Turnover dashboard, payroll evolution, average cost per hire, absenteeism rate. Fed directly by the HR module.

CEO — General management

Consolidated view on a single page: revenue, margin, headcount, commercial pipeline. Sector benchmarks to assess competitive position. Alerts on strategic KPIs.

Retail manager

Store-by-store performance, top products, hourly POS traffic analysis. Inventory module data to anticipate stockouts.

Accounting firm

Multi-client access, standardised exports for audits, customisable dashboards per client. No third-party tool required.

Comparison: KiboERP BI vs Power BI, Tableau, Looker, Metabase

The BI software market is saturated with powerful but expensive tools, complex to integrate and designed for large Western enterprises. Here is a factual comparison on the criteria that matter most to an African SMB.

SolutionLicence costNative ERP dataThreshold alertsMobileDeployment
KiboERP BIIncluded in planNative (POS, CRM, Accounting, Inventory, HR)YesYesSaaS + On-premise
Power BIFrom $9.99/user/moConnectors requiredNoYes (mobile app)Cloud + Desktop
TableauFrom $42/user/moConnectors requiredNoPartialCloud + On-site
LookerQuote-basedAPI + connectorsNoYesCloud only
MetabaseFree / Pro $500/moSQL connectorsNoPartialCloud + Self-hosted

The fundamental difference: KiboERP BI reads your operational data directly with no connector to configure. With Power BI or Tableau, you must build and maintain data pipelines — which requires time and specialised technical expertise.

SaaS or On-premise: choose based on your context

SaaS option

The cloud version of KiboERP is up and running in minutes. The BI Analytics module is available from the Business plan onwards. Automatic updates, managed infrastructure, access from any browser. Ideal for SMBs that want to move fast without managing infrastructure.

On-premise option

For groups with high confidentiality requirements, custom connections to existing systems (legacy ERP, proprietary databases) or constrained internal networks, KiboERP installs on your own infrastructure. Data never leaves your perimeter. The BI Analytics module works identically, with the added ability to connect local data sources.

Frequently asked questions about KiboERP BI software

Does KiboERP replace Power BI or Tableau?

For African SMBs, yes in most cases. The BI Analytics module covers KPI dashboards, multiple chart types, CSV/PDF exports and threshold alerts — with no separate licence or connectors to configure. Power BI and Tableau remain relevant for highly advanced ad hoc analysis on external data sources.

Are data from all modules truly consolidated?

Yes. POS, CRM, Accounting, Inventory and HR share the same database. The BI module reads this data directly — no ETL, no manual synchronisation. A figure on your dashboard always reflects the current state of your business.

Can dashboards be personalised per role?

Absolutely. KiboERP's RBAC lets you define which KPIs and reports are visible per role: CFO, HR Director, CEO, retail manager, accounting firm, etc. Each user sees only what is relevant to their function.

Which plans include the BI module?

The BI Analytics module is available from the Business plan onwards. Starter and Essentiel plans include basic KPIs within each module. See the Pricing page for full details.

What export formats are supported?

CSV for processing in Excel or Google Sheets, and PDF for reports to share in board meetings or send to auditors and financial partners.

Do threshold alerts work in real time?

Alerts fire as soon as a KPI crosses the configured threshold (e.g. stock below minimum, gross margin below target, churn rate above a set level). The notification appears in the interface and is sent by email.

Does the BI module work in On-premise mode?

Yes. KiboERP's On-premise offering includes the BI Analytics module. Data never leaves your infrastructure. Ideal for groups with strict confidentiality requirements or those needing custom connections to internal systems.

What is the difference between sector benchmarks and my own KPIs?

Your KPIs measure your company's performance. Sector benchmarks give you an anonymised comparison point against other SMBs in the same industry (retail, services, distribution). This helps you contextualise your results and identify performance gaps.
